Elected Chair of the 49th Legislative District Democrats in December 2016, Angela brings to the office a wide range of skills and experience. Born and raised here, Angela has been a dedicated volunteer in the community for over 25 years.
Angela was very involved with volunteering in public schools. She served as PTA secretary and president of Peter S. Ogden PTA. She helped found iTech Preparatory PTSA and became the first president. Additionally, Angela served on the Challenge Advisory board in the Vancouver school district.
For over ten years, Angela was involved with the Boy Scouts. In 2002, she and her husband started a Cub Scout Pack at Peter S. Ogden Elementary. Angela served as the Committee Chairperson, Cub Scout pack leader, and Boy Scout committee member.
During the 2016 presidential election, Angela became an elected Precinct Committee Officer and volunteered for local campaigns. She was elected secretary for the 49th legislative district of that same year. She is passionate about getting young people involved in politics at the local level.
Angela attends Washington State University Vancouver, where she is finishing up degrees in History and Political Science. She served as the Communications Director for the History Club, co-hosted a political talk radio show, and is an ally with the PRIDE club.
Angela has been married to her sweetheart, Adam, for over 27 years. Together they have two grown sons. Adam and her two sons are Eagle Scouts. Angela enjoys animals, reading, photography, and camping.
